■ EMI shield effect(Electromagnetic wave shield plating)


The new bonding technology makes it easy to Ni-B plating PA6 (6-nylon) sheets, and it hasbeen found that nylon sheets have a strong electromagnetic shielding effect.

Until now, it has been said that metal plating is not possible or difficult for PA6 (6-nylon)materials. However, due to the newly developed plating technology, the electric field shieldingeffect of nylon sheet coated with Ni plating on general nylon (PA6) is 60 dB or more from 10MHz to 1 GHz. Please refer to the graph below for the actual effect.

In addition, the magnetic field shielding effect is 23 dB at 100 MHz and 54 dB at 1 GHz.

The nylon sheet used in this experiment is a thin and flexible PA6 (6-nylon) sheet with athickness of 0.3 mm, and Ni-B plating with a thickness of 1.5 μm is applied to both sides.

The surface resistance of the Ni-plated surface used in the experiment is as low as about 0.3Ω /□.

PA6 (6-nylon) can be plated with either glass fiber reinforced press-fitting material or flexiblesheet material.
